From April 22 to April 26, 2019, Shanghai Hangzhou Bay Development Park delegation went to Japan to launch overseas investment promotion activities. The accurate promotion activities to Japan enterprises will focus on promoting the settling down and opening up of a number of new projects. At the same time, we will further consolidate and strengthen cooperation with well-known business associations and establish long-term effective project information channels.
On the afternoon of April 23, 2019, the "2019 Shanghai Hangzhou Bay Development Park Tokyo Investment Promotion Meeting" was held hosted by our park, co-organized by Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Japan Chemical Industry Daily and Changxi International Group.
The promotion meeting attracted more than 60 well-known fine chemical, new material, beauty health and other related companies to participate, such as: Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, Mitsubishi Research Institute, Asahi Kasei, Showa Denko, East Asia Synthetic, Unicharm, Ube Industries, AGC, Suntory, and NHK. And the number of participants was nearly 80.
At the promotion meeting, our vice-president Mr Yu Wenhua gave a welcome speech. He expressed sincere gratitude to the arrival of various enterprises and highly affirmed the important role of Japanese companies in the economic development of the park, and he said that: through this event, it is a strong alliance between Shanghai Hangzhou Bay Development Park and Japanese high-quality enterprises. It is an important measure for us to adhere to the principle of “going out and introducing in” in investment promotion. It is hoped that more and more high-quality Japanese companies will invest in our park to carry out exchanges and cooperations and promote mutual benefit. After that, Benson Li gave a brief introduction of the park’s key industries. Representatives and entrepreneurs who were invited to attend the meeting made speeches and questions. Everyone thinks that SHDP is unique in industrial base, superior in geographical position, outstanding in service, and superimposed policies. There are boundless business opportunities and hopes. In particular, the "one-to-one" one-stream service spirit has strengthened the willingness of Japanese local entrepreneurs to go to the park for inspection, negotiation, investment, and common development.
During the event, we visited Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Mitsubishi Research Institute, Tokyo Consulting, Showa Denko, Nichirekki, Tedra, CHOYA, OSG Corporation of Japan and the Japan Asian Brand Free Trade Promotion Association, to talk with the senior leaders to discuss and exchange opinions to further strengthen cooperation matters.
Firstly, the delegation of our park visited the Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, the co-organizer of the investment promotion meeting, and exchanged views to discuss in depth the plan on building a professional fine chemical industrial park. At the symposium, Mr Yu Wenhua expressed his gratitude to Mitsubishi Bank for its support of the promotion activities. He said that the development of the park is inseparable from the support of the financial industry. Mitsubishi Bank is the most well-known national bank in Japan and ranks first in total assets. It is hoped that the two sides will treat each other with sincerity, seize the important opportunities, launch in-depth cooperation, have a long-term layout, focus on long-term interests, seize market trends, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Mitsubishi Bank expressed warm welcome to the delegation of the development zone. He said that through communication with customers, he understands that the company is very satisfied with the current investment environment of SHDP. In the future, Mitsubishi Bank will actively recommend SHDP to other Japanese companies, and working as a bridge for Japanese enterprise to invest in development zones. At the same time, it also hopes to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with development zones and timely grasp various investment policies.
The delegation also visited Mitsubishi Research Institute. Mitsubishi Research Institute is a representative research institution in Japan. Mr. Hiroyuki , talked about how to build a Japan style industry park under the cooperation of SHDP, Mitsubishi Corperation and Mitsubishi Research Institute.
Mr Yu Wenhua said that Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Research Institute are all affiliates of Mitsubishi Group of Japan. They enjoy a high reputation in China and around the world. They are also the top leaders of the world's fine chemical industry. They are regarded as the "unicorn" business which is most wanted to be introduced in. It is hoped that through this visit, we will speed up the deepening of cooperation programs, and at the same time, we will explore more possibilities for cooperation and promote the common transformation of enterprises.
Through exchanges, the Mitsubishi Research Institute said that the Industrial Park is a very good entry point, and hopes to promote deeper cooperation between the two sides through the park, and further promote cooperation between the Chinese and Japanese biomedical industries.
Then we visited Showa Denko.Mr Yu Wenhua introduced the current situation and new policies of the fine chemical industry in the development zone. He said that SHDP's unique professional chemical industry infrastructure and policy environment has become the reason for more and more international fine chemical projects first choice. Showa Denko is the world well-known comprehensive group of companies, which are involved in petroleum, chemical, inorganic, aluminum metal, electronic information and other fields. If they can successfully settle in the development zone, they will be stronger and they will be able to express more synergies and make enterprises more effectively in laying out the Chinese market and solid foundation for growth.
Through exchanges, the two parties reached a basic intention on investment matters and will conduct specific negotiations on the details of the contract.
The delegation then met with a settled enterprise Shanghai Urban Construction NichiReki Special Asphalt Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Nichireki"), to talk with them in its Japan headquarter.
Nichireki introduced the situation of the company to the delegation and said that the current SUCN is in normal production and operation, combined with the strong industrial base and capital strength of the development zone, it will surely achieve rapid development and mutual benefit.Mr Yu Wenhua said that he will fully support the development of the Nichireki, and hopes that the company will take the initiative to grasp the best time for Fengxian District to provide policy support in setting up regional headquarters and accelerate the promotion of the project of the company headquarters in China.
The delegation visited the company Tedra Co., Ltd.. The two sides have conducted in-depth exchanges on additional investment and new projects on the basis of existing good cooperation. Tedra Co., Ltd. expressed its gratitude to the development zone for its thoughtful and considerate service during the project settlement process. It said that it will actively discuss investment and land acquisition. It will expand in investment and accelerate the layout of follow-up projects or new development projects. .At the same time, we also hope to strengthen communication and cooperation with the development zone, and prepare for the company to be listed.
On visiting CHOYA, a Japanese company with the first place in plum wine. Mr Yu Wenhua said that Choya plum wine is a world-renowned Japanese company and one of the earliest Japanese-funded enterprises in the development zone. He expressed his gratitude to the company for its long-term contribution to regional economic and social development, and also hopes that CHOYA, with the chance of the our Spark Area being divided into the new area of the free trade zone, the plum wine can be exported to the overseas market. CHOYA Plum Wine Co., Ltd. thanked the development zone for its support and concern for the company. He revealed that once the Spark Area’s plan is clear, it will increase the industrial adjustment layout, expand investment, and create a wine culture and brand. A beautiful "business card" with a worldwide reputation will be formed.
The delegation visited the world's largest water treatment technology pioneer, the world's largest water treatment company, the well-known Japanese listed company OSG Corporation, and had a discussion with Japan Peacock Magic Bottle Industry Co., Ltd. Mr Yu Wenhua introduced Fengxian's investment environment and the infrastructure, policy support, and industrial foundation of the development zone. He said that the huge Chinese market with rapid purchasing power has become the stage for global advanced technology and high-end products competition. I hope Osg and Peacock Company will make early arrangements to achieve rapid development and mutual benefit. Osg and the Japanese Peacock Company expressed their strong interest in the Chinese market. They discussed the details of further cooperation in depth, and hoped to find the best match point, accelerate the pace of cooperation, and achieve the development goal of mutual benefit and win-win as soon as possible.
At last, we visited the Japan Asian Brand Free Trade Promotion Association. The two sides discussed how to use mutual resources to carry out industrial docking and complementary advantages, and reached a cooperation intention. The Japan Asian Brand Free Trade Promotion Association expressed its willingness to actively support the cooperation between the two parties, indicating that they will visit the development zone and further discuss the details.
